The dolly and I are relieved that she isn't naked anymore. It feels like it took forever to get the pattern right. I lost track of how many drafts I sewed before settling on the knee length dress she is wearing. Like I mentioned before, I bought a lot of doll clothes book. But in the end The Medieval Tailor's Assistant was the most helpful. My main struggle was deciding what sort of clothes were right for her. So it was a great relief when it occurred to me that what she needed was a very plain, very slightly faerie looking dress. I don't want her to look like she lives in a melodramatic fantasy story exactly, but I do want her to look a little ethereal.
The fabric is gorgeous Liberty of London Tana Lawn. The drape is amazing! She still needs a petticoat made of Swiss batiste that I've got on order. Spoiled, spoiled! She needs some accessories too. But I'm not sure what those are going to be yet. Oh yeah, and shoes for sure.

Thought I'd show you guys these strawberries, too. They are some of the props I mentioned. It was super fun looking at lots of photos and making them as realistic as possible.
